Carrying the Torch, Moving Forward
Black Americans in the US are facing an uncertain future. The progress gained during the Civil Rights Movement and in more recent years is slowly being eroded. Yet, like our ancestors, we must remain resilient in our fight for justice and call out discrimination.
Dr. King passed the torch to us. It is up to us to keep moving it forward to realize his dream. He once said, “He who passively accepts evil is as much involved in it as he who helps to perpetrate it. He who accepts evil without protesting against it is really cooperating with it.”
This is a wake up call - a time to unite - a time to carry the torch forward for justice.
